Dare to Dream Different Contest - Baby Stroller Safety Device
Most mothers choose to buy a stroller for their babies, but sometimes they forget to block the stroller with the brake, and the stroller slips down and runs towards dangerous obstacles cars, walls… or falls in a perilous place. What we will develop is an intelligent system that protects baby strollers from that kind of accidents and also helps mothers to make life better for their babies. We named the system Intelligent stroller . The embedded application will offer the following functionalities 1- When the 3 axis accelerometer detects that the stroller is moving in a slope during more than 5 seconds, the system alerts with sound and slows down the stroller using an electronic brake that is connected to one of the GPIO. 2- When the temperature exceeds a threshold, the embedded application aware with sound people around and displays some advices. 3- Using the touch screen, mothers can play melodies for their babies these melodies are read from an SD Card or loaded using the xbee connector. 4- Using the embedded application, mothers can schedule alerts like When it s 4 o clock, alert me with the message Prepare a new bottle for the baby . 5- Using an external GP
